Meet Alexa
Although it wasn't until spring of 2024 that I decided I wanted to give this photography thing a real try, I've always had a deep rooted love in taking photos and capturing my life in some capacity. In fact, growing up, my dream was to work in Hollywood and direct movies for a living..I know, dream big! I took my YouTube channel very seriously and was always the girl forcing her friends to act in her silly home movies, moody music videos or model in a photoshoot. Growing up in Seattle meant convincing my friends to get in the icy PNW water in the middle of winter all in the name of getting THE shot. I was obsessed with the drama and capturing made-up scenes through the lens of my camera. I was gifted my first DSLR for my 13th birthday and my hobby continued to grow. Fast forward to when I was 18, I made the decision to move from Seattle to the LA area to pursue this dream of mine and attend film school. It only took about a year and a half of schooling to realize that my heart wasn't in it and the film industry isn't where I was meant to be. I finished up my college degree and after a changing of majors, a whole pandemic and a couple different business ventures, pieces began to fall into place.
In May 2024, I was asked to dust off my camera (yes, the same camera from my 13th birthday) and photograph my best friend's proposal. As nervous as I was, I did it and man am I grateful that I did. I fell in love with my camera and everything that came with it all over again. I began offering everyone I knew free photoshoots and spent the Summer and Fall growing my portfolio for real this time and learning the ins and outs of photography. In 2025, I launched my website & got my first paying clients!! It's been a roller coaster ever since and I couldn't be more grateful for the clients that took a chance on me during my early days. I now get to photograph weddings and couples full time & wouldn't trade it for the world.

When I'm not capturing love stories or editing at my computer, you can usually find me at my local thrift store, searching for vintage treasures. I love getting dressed up, trying new restaurants with my husband & traveling the world together. We've been so fortunate to check off so many bucket-list destinations together & we're always planning our next adventure. Traveling has become a huge part of my life these past few years and i'm so excited to hopefully begin implementing travel into my work in the near future (destination brides, hmu!!) But at the center of it all, Christ is the reason I do what I do. My faith is a huge part of who I am and how I view the world around me. My relationship with Jesus not only shapes how I create, but the relationships I hold with each client.
